Welcome Jenny, how come you applied to iCore?
- What attracted me was the overall impression. My role as a support specialist is very broad, at the same time I have many nice colleagues who contribute to a positive environment in the office. It is instructive and I develop all the time by working with customer integrations and various IT solutions and techniques.
Can you tell us a little more about your background?
- I graduated in June and started working at iCore after that. I studied computer science at the University of Borås, where half of the education consisted of courses in IT and the other half in economics. It gave me a good foundation in how businesses work. I also chose to focus on informatics, which suits my professional role very well
No two days are alike. We work based on the customers' needs, so what needs to be done can be high and low.
How would you describe a day in the office?
- It is difficult to describe a working day because it varies so much. No two days are alike. We receive a lot of cases and the scope is very different. It could be troubleshooting for a customer, or creating new file formats. We work based on the customers' needs, so what needs to be done can be high and low. Then we also have internal meetings where we discuss and help each other in the various projects.
The atmosphere is familiar, and it is easy to get to know people who work in other departments as well. A lot of exciting things are happening here and it's fun to be involved and contribute to the development of the company and the industry.
What is the most important thing for you to enjoy the workplace?
- I think it is important that you have fun and get to work in a stimulating environment. This is when you develop and get the chance to learn new things. iCore is a good employer.
