API Management – a fresh start
We’re working to simplify API management in iCore, making it easier for developers to quickly and efficiently build and publish APIs. By lowering the barriers to creating API solutions and offering flexible, secure publishing options, APIs will become an integral part of our platform.
What does this mean for you?
You won’t have to reinvent the wheel every time you build API solutions. With enhanced security and a smoother publishing process, you can focus on delivering value to your customers instead of overcoming technical hurdles.
Highlights
- Ability to expose services securely on Internet
- Improved development tools.
- Enhanced control options (security and monitoring).
Deliverables
- Azure Relay replaces Application Gateway – Azure Relay will replace our current solution, where we use Application Gateway to publish and route (tunnel) APIs from external sources into iCore Cloud Services (iCCS). The new solution allows for publishing an unlimited number of APIs (previously limited by port numbers) and provides a self-service publishing option. Azure Relay also offers a long-term solution for communication between iCCS systems, on-premises systems, and apps in the iCore Portal.
Status: Launched Q3 2024
Build integrations with scenarios
We are refining the structure for creating integrations by introducing a consistent thread that runs throughout the entire integration lifecycle – from requirements to implementation and operations. By extending platform support for integration scenarios, we make it easier to understand and visualize the connections between various integration components.
What does this mean for you?
You’ll gain a clear overview of the entire integration process and can visually track the transactions. This makes it easier to ensure that your integrations meet the set requirements, improving both control and efficiency in your work.
Highlights
- Develop and deploy based on integration scenarios.
- Monitor integration scenarios in iCore Portal.
Deliverables
- AIM Draw – With ready-made templates, you will be able to map out your business systems and integration environment in AIM Draw, which can be used as a foundation and requirements specification for integration projects. Eventually, this could serve as a boilerplate for integration solutions, that can be translated into integration components within the platform.
Status: Ongoing, internal first release in 2024 - Monitor integration scenarios – Our monitoring app in iCore Portal will include real-time monitoring at the scenario level. You will be able to easily see if an integration scenario is encountering issues or running smoothly.
Status: Ongoing, release in Q1 2025
Fast, easy, and fun – integration development the iCore way
We aim to make integration development faster, more intuitive, and more rewarding for developers.
What does this mean for you?
By offering better oversight, reusability, version control, and troubleshooting capabilities, you can create complex integration solutions more smoothly. Reusable templates save time and reduce errors, making the development process both simpler and more enjoyable.
Highlights
- Ready-made, easy-to-use packages with the latest technology.
- Managed File Transfer implemented in iCore Portal as a template-based wizard.
- Design your solution in AIM and generate a boilerplate integration solution that only requires configuration. Part 1 of this feature will be available in 2024.
Deliverables
- AIM Draw – With ready-made templates, you’ll be able to map out a company’s system architecture and integration environment in AIM Draw.
Status: Ongoing, internal first release in 2024 - Connector for communication with Amazon S3 – Amazon S3 is an object-oriented protocol similar to Azure Blob Storage. The connector standardizes communication with Amazon S3, speeding up integration development and reducing technical issues.
Status: Ongoing, release in Q4 2024 - Connector for communication with Apache Kafka – Standardizes communication with Apache Kafka, accelerating integration development and reducing technical issues.
Status: Ongoing, release in Q4 2024 - Connector for communication with Google Bucket and Google Service Bus – Standardizes communication with these platforms, speeding up integration development and reducing technical issues.
Status: Ongoing, release in Q4 2024 - Connector for communication with Microsoft SharePoint – Standardizes communication with a SharePoint site, speeding up integration development and reducing technical issues.
Status: Released in Q4 2024
iCore On-Prem connects to the Portal
For our customers who want to keep their systems on-premises but still benefit from a cloud experience, we are developing a solution that connects iCore on-prem to our portal. This gives you access to the same powerful tools and services as our cloud-based customers, without the need to migrate to the cloud.
What does this mean for you?
You’ll have access to portal apps, dashboards, and user management without moving to the cloud. You can run iCore runtime anywhere and take advantage of advanced features like Azure Relay, giving you the flexibility to stay on-prem while benefiting from the features offered by modern cloud services.
Deliverables
- iCore Cloud Connector – run iCore in the cloud while simultaneously accessing selected on-premises applications directly from your cloud system. This gives you the best of both worlds: the flexibility and power of the cloud combined with the ability to retain and utilize your on-premises systems.
Status: Release in Q2 2025
