The outdoor company Bergans Fritid is gearing up for its cloud journey

Bergans of Norway is a leading supplier and developer of outdoor equipment and technical clothing. The company was founded in 1908 and has played a major role in Norwegian outdoor life, including by introducing the backpack as we know it today – an invention that famous polar explorers such as Amundsen and Scott used on their expeditions.

In October, Bergan's Leisure and iCore reached an agreement to integrate Bergan's e-commerce, POS, PIM and ERP (business system). iCore will be the integration platform that enables fast and reliable communication between the various IT systems that Bergans uses today.

In addition to replacing completely manual tasks, the systems will be able to be updated with current information at a frequency that is difficult to achieve with manual procedures. The ability to connect new systems easily means that Bergans can more quickly satisfy new requests from both customers and suppliers.
