Portwest transforms their customer experience with iCore and Infor M3
Portwest, a large global workwear company with 12 distribution points and 5,300 staff, faced challenges with their legacy systems, specifically their in-house built e-commerce platform and M3 ERP system. The legacy system involved complex, time-consuming data synchronization processes, leading to issues with data integrity and customer experience. The transition to Infor Cloud suite and the introduction of an ETL database initially posed challenges due to restricted access, making data integration cumbersome and prone to delays.
With the implementation of iCore's integration platform as a middleware, Portwest achieved real-time data processing and significant improvements in system functionality and customer experience. The iCore platform allows direct API communication with M3, providing real-time updates on prices, stock, and customer information, which significantly reduces the delay from 48 hours to almost instantaneous updates. This transformation has enhanced troubleshooting, data integrity, and integration capabilities, enabling Portwest to onboard new customers and EDI partners much faster. The new solution supports the company’s aggressive growth strategy by facilitating seamless integration of newly acquired companies and their ERP systems.
